Overall excellent condition. The work was examined in the frame.
The image depicts the model Franseca Eastwood (Clint Eastwood’s daughter) setting fire to the Pony film camera which was produced by Kodak in 6 different versions between 1949 and 1959. The camera had a bakelite body and was adapted in the 1950s to hold 35mm film. Tyler Shields, born in Jacksonville, Florida and heralded as “Hollywood’s favourite photographer”, seems to be commenting on the death of analogue photography, and the tendency in society perhaps to choose immediate gratification over the time consuming labour of craft.
