The frame and the glass plates are in age-related, but optical appealing condition. The frame and the glass plates show due to usage scratches. The large glass plate shows scattered chips in the area of the edges.

Michel Boyer (1935-2011)

After his studies of decoration, the French Michel Boyer specialized in the design for office furnitures. He combined time typical materials like metal and leather and set new standards with his designs in the 1970s. Boyer privileged architectural forms, curvilinear details and rounded edges. His best-known projects are the interiors for the Rothschild Bank in Paris (1970), the Hotel PLM Saint-Jacques in Paris (1972) and the French Embassies in Brasilia and Washington, D.C. (both 1975). In addition to that Boyer worked with fashion designers like Lanvin, Dior and Balmain. His private clients included Elie de Rothschild, Liliane Betencourt and Karim Aga Khan. (ala)
