The beautiful pastel of a young elegant lady by the famous Russian portrait painter is characterized by the focus of only a few colors

The pastel is in good condition, consistent with age. It bears slight rippling and three of the edges show in each case one tear (c. 3-8 cm). There are scattered traces of wiping overall and foxing marks can be seen upper right. In the right part of the background and in the lower part (figure) are a little bit larger white marks. The frame shows usual signs of age and wear and scattered tears and small loss of material.
